2/52 | Fifty-Two Week Project

Earlier this week we had a snow...err, ice storm.  I was hoping for several inches of the fluffy stuff, but all we got was something that resembled a snow cone.  It was crunchy and cold, and the cars were covered with sheets of ice.  Our dogs hated it, and the ice on the roads prevented the beloved UPS man from arriving on Monday with my new lens.


But.... by Tuesday the ice started to melt away and the UPS man surprised me late yesterday. WOO HOO!!!  So, this week's official image is from my new lens!!!!

I purchased it to use for details shots at weddings (like rings, flowers, etc...) and for newborn details (like baby toes and eyelashes).

I decided to practice on my own rings this morning.... and I am in love!

    So pretty! I can't decide if I want my next lens to be a macro or a wide angle. Winter makes me want a macro and summer makes me think of wider views!
