My lens isn't really pink, but this blog is through my point of view. If point of views had color, mine would be PINK!

My only subjects at home...

The whole notion of this 52 week project has inspired me to just shoot more for myself.  So often, when I am busy photographing clients, my camera just sits in its case when I get home.  I am a photographer, for crying out loud....  I should be shooting ALL of the time, or at least most of the time.

So, since this feeling of inspiration has came over me like a huge "surfer quality, cow-a-bunga" type wave, I decided that I just might even shoot more than just once a week.

The challenge is that the only subjects to photograph are the 4-legged variety running around the house and my fur-babies don't really like momma's camera!

I got lucky with this next shot of my cat, because she was busy relaxing on the bed.

However, this shot of my littlest one with her droopy ears... just screams,
"What are you doing? Will, you please get that thing out of my face!

On another note, I totally just ordered a new lens this morning for my wedding work!  Yep, it's a macro lens that will allow me to take all kinds of cool, up-close shots of things like wedding rings and details.

The extra benefit?..... well, when my pets won't cooperate, I can take photos of boring stuff around my house and make it look awesome!!! LOL!

  1. Beautiful!!! I wish we were closer so Finley could be one of your subjects :) I hope you'll post pics of the house once it's done.

  3. Tracy- Thank you! :) I use my 50mm 1.4 the absolute most (which is what these were shot with), but I have the 105 2.8macro coming soon, so I think that one might be fun too! :)

Elizabeth - Thanks and I wish we were closer too, but we are closer than we were.. LOL! I will definitely post photos of the house! I think we are getting down to weeks now! Countertops and lighting are going in this week.
